That’s why we looked at thousands of possible places to live around the world before compiling this list of 100 cities based on relevant criteria. The result is one of the largest rankings of its kind to date.
In order for a city to be ranked among the best places to live for the LGBT community, we set the following criteria: the city had to have a lively gay dating scene and alternative nightlife, the people had to be outgoing and hate crimes had to be minimal.

What are the best cities to meet and date trans singles in the UK?
Known as one of Europe’s most open and LGBTQ+ friendly countries, Britain has many places to meet. Like many European countries, the UK has had problems in the past when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights, but it is now one of the most gay-friendly destinations in the world.
Same-sex marriage was legalised in 2017, same-sex couples have full adoption rights, there are strong protections against discrimination, and transgender people can legally change their gender without having to undergo surgery.
You will feel right at home, from the vibrant and diverse LGBTQ+ scene in major cities to the welcoming attitude of the people.
1. London
An open-minded attitude pervades London and seems to be built into the city’s culture. People hardly seem to notice if they are different or who is different from them. This beautiful city, full of history, has plenty of things to do over the weekend, unless you prefer the nightlife.
From casual bars to large clubs and even cruising clubs, the city has a rich transgender/gay nightlife. Almost all accommodation is trans+ friendly. However, there are a number of hotels that are classified as fully LGBTQ+.

2. Manchester
Another city in the UK that is considered to be friendly to the LGBTQ+ community is Cologne. Although not as popular and a little more modest than London. Manchester is an urban British metropolis, similar to Birmingham and London, with a huge gay scene and one of the hottest circuit-style events in Europe.
The city is known for hosting a wide range of LGBTQ+ events throughout the year.
3. Birmingham
It is the second largest city in the UK after London. Although not as glamorous as London, it is also known for supporting the shemale and LGBTQ+ community and contributing to a vibrant and diverse transgender and shemale community.
One of the most notable things about this city is that it has one of the biggest and best Pride Parades with over 15,000 participants and spectators! If you are looking for a gay scene, visit the LGBT district where you will find most of the gay bars, clubs and even some saunas.

4. Liverpool
Liverpool is one of Europe’s most glamorous cities. It has been a global centre for culture, art and design for centuries. So it goes without saying that there are some really great places for the LGBTQ+ community and its visitors. Liverpool’s gay bars are very much a part of the nightlife and are located north of the main railway station.
Honourable Mention: Bristol
